When we unlock, you’ll add Tailorly in Claude or ChatGPT. Sign-in happens on Tailorly, then you land back in the chat with your account connected.

What it does

Your Tailorly account, inside the chat

The connector does not invent a second product. It calls the same job search, Fit %, tailoring, and Apply Agent you already use on Tailorly.

Search with Fit %

Ask for roles in plain language. Tailorly searches the live board and scores each job against your resume — the same list match as the website.

Tailor the resume

Start the same tailoring pipeline as the app for one job, with an optional cover letter. The chat gets a task id and can check progress.

Apply with Apply Agent

For Greenhouse jobs on the Tailorly board, the connector can tailor your docs and run Apply Agent — the same path as Apply on the site.

Track what you sent

List applications, see tasks still running, and ask how a tailor or apply is going without opening the dashboard.

How connecting works

Sign in once. Then just ask.

Claude and ChatGPT register themselves, send you to Tailorly to approve access, and return you to the chat.

Add the connector

When unlocked, add Tailorly in Claude or ChatGPT. Both apps can register the OAuth client for you.

You approve six scopes on your own account. The password stays on Tailorly. The chat only gets a token.

Ask in plain language

Search, compare fit, tailor, apply, or check status. The assistant picks the tool. You do not pass a user id.

Nine tools. Read tools look things up. Tailor and Apply write, and only for Greenhouse jobs on the Tailorly board.

Search Tailorly’s live inventory and return Fit % for your resume. Filters follow what you actually asked: title, location, company, remote / hybrid / onsite, experience, visa sponsorship, employment type, skills, and how recently it was posted. Up to 10 roles per search, with another page when you ask for more.

Job details

Load the full Tailorly record for a job from a previous search — description, company, and apply link — so the chat talks about that posting, not a guessed one.

profile:read

Your profile

Read the signed-in account: display name, email, plan, and whether a default resume is on file. The chat never sends a user id. Your login is the identity.

Resume summary

A compact summary of your default resume, or another resume you own. Matching and tailoring stay grounded in that resume.

Plan usage

How much of your Free or Plus plan is left, plus Apply counts. This stays available after AI usage is used up, and it points you to upgrade when a limit is reached.

Your application tracker, including tailor and apply tasks that are still running. You can filter by title, company, or location.

Check a tailor or apply you started from chat, an apply run, or a specific job. Status stays available even when the AI budget is used up.

Start Tailorly’s resume-tailoring pipeline for one job. Optional cover letter. Greenhouse jobs on the Tailorly board only — the same rule as Apply on the website. Poll status until the draft is ready.

Tailor the resume and cover letter, then run Apply Agent on that Greenhouse posting. Uses your plan and your Apply quota. Up to five applies can run at once.

Open Settings, then Connectors.

Choose Sign in now. For the OAuth client, choose Register automatically.

Sign in on Tailorly. Claude brings you back to the chat with the connector on.

ChatGPT

Add a custom connector

Turn on Developer mode in ChatGPT settings.

Create a custom connector and choose Tailorly when connect is unlocked.

Use OAuth. Leave dynamic client registration on, and keep the default scopes — all six listed below.

Sign in with your Tailorly account when ChatGPT opens the browser.

Any other MCP app that supports a remote connector and sign-in will work with the same connector when we unlock.

Your Tailorly plan

Free and Plus limits are shared with the website. Search, tailor, and apply stop when that budget is used up and tell you to upgrade. Plan usage, the application list, and status checks keep working.

Greenhouse only

Tailor resume and Apply Agent accept a Tailorly job whose apply link is on greenhouse.io. Other apply links are refused. Search and job details are not limited to Greenhouse.

Apply queue

Apply also uses your Apply quota. Five live applies can run at once. A sixth waits until one finishes. Ask for status with the task the connector returned.

It is a connector. Claude, ChatGPT, and other MCP clients call Tailorly on your behalf after you sign in. The connector uses the same job board, Fit %, tailoring pipeline, and Apply Agent as tailorlycv.com.
